About The Drift Resort

The Drift is a newly renovated boutique lake resort in Branson, offering a unique blend of modern hospitality and classic lakeside charm. Located on Lake Taneycomo, we are a small resort with only 20 units, with a focus on design and comfort. We are looking for a dedicated, hands-on leader to oversee operations and ensure every guest enjoys a seamless stay.

The Role

As the Resort Manager, you are the face of The Drift. You will balance high-level guest relations with the "grit" of daily operations, ensuring the property is pristine, the fleet is maintained, and the bait shop is thriving. This is a multifaceted role for a proactive problem-solver who takes pride in property ownership and loves the lake life.

Core ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience & Reservations
  • Manage the full guest lifecycle: from initial booking inquiries and reservation management to personalized check-ins and check-outs.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for guest needs, providing local Branson recommendations and resolving issues with a "concierge-level" touch.
Property & Housekeeping Management
  • Maintain high standards of "curb appeal" with daily property walkthroughs.
  • Hands-on Support: During the slow season or for units closest to the office, personally execute full turnovers and cleaning to ensure brand standards are met.
  • Coordinate with maintenance for repairs, landscaping, and property upkeep, ensuring the grounds are always guest-ready.
Maritime & Retail Operations
  • Boat Rentals & Slips: Oversee the management of boat slips and the rental fleet. Ensure all vessels are properly maintained, fueled, cleaned, and safety-checked.
  • Bait & Tackle Shop: Manage all retail operations, including sales and assisting guests with fishing gear.
  • Inventory Control: Conduct weekly audits and order stock for the bait shop and resort supplies (linens, amenities, cleaning chemicals) to ensure zero downtime.

Requirements & QualificationsTechnical & Software Skills
  • Google Workspace Proficiency: Must be an expert user of Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Sheets for daily operations, reporting, and guest communication.
  • Digital Problem-Solver: You possess the "digital intuition" to quickly master and troubleshoot new Property Management Systems and online software independently without needing extensive technical oversight.

Experience & Mindset
  • Hospitality Background: 3+ years in hotel, resort, or short-term rental management.
  • Maritime Familiarity: Basic knowledge of boat operation and maintenance; ability to assist guests with docking and safety protocols.
  • The "Owner" Mindset: A proactive professional who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves—whether fixing a minor issue, deep-cleaning a cabin, or mastering a new software tool.

Schedule & Culture
  • Work-Life Balance: Our goal is a healthy work-life balance for our team. We provide regular, consecutive days off each week so you can fully unplug and recharge.
  • Hospitality Flexibility: While we respect your time off, this role requires a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • On-Call Readiness: Candidates must have a plan for on-call emergency responses to ensure the safety and security of our guests and property should an urgent issue arise.

How to Apply: Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter detailing your experience with property management and your familiarity with lake/boat operations to ...@roaminghomeproperties.com
