OverviewAn Alignment Technician will be responsible for performing the required mechanical duties in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with all company programs, policies and procedures.MFA Petroleum Company is an Equal Opportunity/Drug-Free Employer.ResponsibilitiesPerform all brake, front end and alignment maintenance as well as mechanical work in accordance with all company programs, policies, and proceduresTrain and coach other employees in accordance with all company programs, policies and proceduresMaintain the orderly flow of customer service assignment to ensure productivityEnsure that Big O's Extra Care Services are extended to all customersProperly diagnose and repair of all customers' vehicles, performing quality control of all shop functionsAttend weekly store meetings to review safety issues, store policies, procedures, and product information changes as requiredAssist in the organizing, documenting, and processing of all adjustments and core creditsWork with store management to ensure the successful accomplishment of budgeted service related quotasEnsure that all appropriate information for completed work is given to the counter personnel for inclusion in final invoicingUtilize the company outside purchase program to ensure maximum profitabilityEnsure the consistent execution of the vehicle inspection programAchieve established service, sales and productivity goalsAssist management in the orientation and training of all new personnelComplete all required training in a timely mannerPerform other job-related duties as assignedJob Requirements18 years of age or olderValid driver's licenseMinimum of one year of experience as a lube/tire/service technicianAvailability to work holidays, weekends, and after regular business hours as neededReliable transportation to workAbility to learn new concepts and use technical materialsAbility to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machineryCapability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehiclesAbility to exchange accurate information with customersWillingness to work with hazardous materialsAbility to consistently work in outdoor weather conditionsWillingness to comply with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) regulationsVision, hearing, speech, and the ability to detect odors is essentialAbility to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or driving) for up to nine hours per shiftAbility to move and position self to move and retrieve product and supplies from shelves, under counters, or stacks of inventory weighing 75 poundsAbility to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment drug screening, Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and criminal background checkLegal authorization to work in the United States of AmericaPreferred SkillsHigh school diploma or GED equivalentTwo years or more of experience in an automotive shop environmentAppropriate ASE certificationsReadiness to work both independently and in a team environmentCapability to work at a fast paceStrong verbal communication skillsSales abilitiesStaminaAbility to prioritize and plan work activities using time efficientlyManagement of multiple tasks and projectsAbility to perform detail work with accuracy
