We are seeking a Lead Security Technician to join our federal team primarily supporting the Whiteman Air Force Base near Kansas City, MO. This role will help support some other bases in the nearby region as well. Our team here is responsible for the maintenance, service, and sustainment of the Electronic Security Systems across the bases, primarily working with Vindicator and Advantor systems.

Location: Whiteman Air Force Base primarily. Will help support some other bases in the area at times, but primary work is at Whiteman AFB.
Schedule: Primarily day shift (roughly 8:00am – 4:00pm), Monday-Friday.
Pay Range: $38.00 - $48.00 per hour. Negotiable based on experience.
Benefits: Eligible for benefits on first day of employment.
Vacation: 3 weeks of paid vacation, 5 sick days, 3 floating holidays and 10 standard holidays per calendar year (6.5 weeks in total).

As a Lead Security Technician, you will:
- Act as an on-site project leader to plan, execute, and complete Electronic Security projects with assigned customers in a safe and cost effective manner. This role will oversee the operations of Vindicator and Advantor bases within the region.
- Lead, mentor, and provide coaching and technical assistance to Security Technicians, Electrical Installers, System Designers, Subcontractors, and other less experienced team members.
- Maintain a positive relationship with the Contract Officer Rep Team and Relations (COR). Act as a liaison between the region and the COR team to address customer concerns and feedback.
- Regularly attend meetings with PMO office, procurement, training, and IPT.
- Perform or delegate tasks as required to execute and fully complete assigned projects including: system programming, integration, installation coordination, system and network commissioning and project closeout.
- Be responsible for service order ticket management; corrective tickets for the assigned bases, prioritizing and delegating tickets to technicians for prompt resolution, and ensuring all tickets are handled within the defined metrics.
- Oversee Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMIs) for all bases within assigned region. Ensure that PMIs are completed on schedule and that any identified issues are addressed promptly and captured in IMMS system.
- Develop project plans and coordinate the required resources to ensure timely and cost effective installation and completion of assigned projects.
- Provide work direction to subcontractors, electrical installers, technicians, designers, and administration as necessary.
- Complete typical installation of hardware design and software programming using established standards as required.
- Manage and complete the loading, device verification, and commissioning of all system controllers as required. Validate complete system functionality and resolve issues with subcontractors and others to ensure proper operation. Provide accurate project as-built and commissioning documentation.
- Ensure work performed is in compliance with state, local and Federal legal requirements, and ensure Johnson Controls staff and subcontractors adhere to all safety standards.
- Effectively communicate the status of projects to management as required and assist with monthly forecasts of revenue, costs, and gross margin.
- Track and report on key performance metrics for your region, including ticket resolution times, PMI completion rates, and customer satisfaction scores. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance regional performance.
- Review and submit Purchase Requisitions (PRs) for equipment, supplies, and resources for assigned bases.
- Perform site-specific training for owner/operator on the total system in full or with assistance. Ensure owner/operator has been trained. Provide proper documentation and manuals for system operation.
- Adhere to safety standards, local and national security and fire codes, with a high degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of field experience in the commercial or industrial Electronic Security industry.
- Technical, hands-on experience with installation, maintenance, service, commissioning and/or programming of Electronic Security Systems.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency working with Vindicator.
- The ability to communicate technical material to a nontechnical audience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and general windows environment.
- Active Department of Defense Secret clearance (or one that was active within the last 2 years).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical Proficiency working with fiber and networks.
- Proficiency working with a variety of commercial and/or industrial camera systems, preferably with Lenel, Advantor, and others.
- Experience managing or leading security related projects and associated teams.
Preferred Education:
- Vindicator certified.
