About Us:
Washington Regional Urgent Care operates six convenient locations in Northwest Arkansas. As part of Urgent Team, one of the largest independent operators of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast, we pride ourselves on providing quality and affordable healthcare. Our centers are open seven days a week, offering a wide range of services to treat injuries, illnesses, and provide occupational health care.

Position Summary:
As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering essential clinical care to our patients. We are looking for dedicated individuals who can work full-time in a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, including 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend. PRN (per diem) positions are also available, flexibly scheduled as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
The following duties reflect the expectations of this role but are not exhaustive. Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

  • Welcome patients in a friendly manner upon their arrival in the waiting area, exam room, or laboratory.
  • Communicate wait times clearly and guide patients through the treatment process.
  • Address patient concerns and escalate emergencies appropriately.
  • Conduct follow-up calls with urgency to ensure patient satisfaction.
  • Support front desk staff with patient check-in and check-out as necessary.
  • Accurately measure and document patient vital signs, histories, and other relevant information.
  • Assist in patient transfers and procedures under the provider's supervision.
  • Complete all documentation related to patient visits according to protocols.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • BLS Certification.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant (preferred).
  • Medical Assistant Certificate (preferred).
